Engineering Manager

Position Summary:

At Hyatt Residence Club, the Engineering Manager is responsible for the oversight of the general maintenance of the resort along with the oversight of the interior and exterior construction to ensure a safe guest & employee experience.


· Ensure the efficient operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments

· Responsible for supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition

· Responsible for ensuring resort accommodations such as HVAC, Refrigeration and Electrical Engineering are efficient and functioning appropriately

· Responsible for the ordering and inventorying of parts and supplies related to the upkeep of the property

· Responsible for maintaining the departmental budget

· Responsible for mentoring, training, directing and supervising the engineering team in its daily duties

· Must be able to plan and oversee special projects where outside labor and/or contractors are utilized

· Responsibilities include ensuring that all safety measures are in place and all OSHA guild-lines are being adhered to


· Minimum 3 years’ work experience as Engineer manager in larger operation

· Technical knowledge of air conditioning, ventilation, refrigeration systems, fire main systems, sprinklers, water/waste treatment or hydraulics will be an advantage

· Good problem solving, administrative and interpersonal skills are a must

· Verbal and written English language proficiency is required, with a second language helpful

· Must have previous Engineering and leadership experience

· Must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays
