Job Description

As a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for selling and successful implementation of conferences and events. These events range in size from a small meeting to conferences for 175 people. In addition to event selling and management also responsible for selling group bedroom reservations.

Ability to multitask as there are always a number of different things happening at the same time; good negotiation skills and the ability to work to deadlines, targets and under pressure. Being an effective communicator helps to be successful as it’s important to actively listen and identify appropriate messages and delivery methods to effectively influence others; this applies to external clients as well as colleagues within the property. Being a good problem solver too as there’s always things that come up last minute and that require us to devise creative solutions while thinking on our feet. Also, will be conducting site visits and attending familiarizations and networking events.
